Yes, you can see the Aletsch Glacier from real close - you can even touch it, as you can see on my photos. They were taken from the route Bettmerhorn - Märjelensee - Kühboden - Bettmeralp, that''s including the close-ups. If you want to get close, you should go to the Märjelensee (or Maerjelensee), or maybe Lake Märjelen (Maerjelen). I''m not quite sure how long you have to walk to get there, but I guess there is more information about this on some other sites. (It''s been 4 or 5 years since I was there). If I remember right, it''s in the area of Lauterbrunnen, close to the Jungfrau (a mountain) (don''t know how far that is from Interlaken, sorry). You can also see the Aletschgletscher from the top of the Jungfrau (you can get there by train, if you are in the area you should really check it out!)
